Mental health is just as important as physical health, and sometimes it can be necessary to seek support when things are affecting our mental wellbeing. Ill mental health can affect how we think, feel and behave, so it is important to look after our mental wellbeing and reach out for help and support if we are feeling mentally unwell.
We have four Youth Mental Health First Aiders and two Adult Mental Health First Aiders in school who can provide a first response to any wellbeing concerns you have regarding your child, yourself, or a member of your family. They can discuss the array of options available to you and can help refer you to the right support. You can contact them using the details below or by calling the usual school number. Alternatively, you may find the useful links page helpful as it details some of the services available for you to access independently, if any mental health concerns arise.
Youth Mental Health First Aiders:
Mrs C. Liddington – c.liddington@beechesjnr.bham.sch.uk
Miss C. Silvera - c.silvera@beechesjnr.bham.sch.uk
Mrs G Grant - g.grant@beechesjnr.bham.sch.uk
Mrs L. Wall - l.wall@beechesjnr.bham.sch.uk
Adult Mental Health First Aiders:
Mrs C. Liddington – As above
Mrs L. Flint - l.flint@beechesjnr.bham.sch.uk
Please see below for additional information from Birmingham Children's Partnership that may also be helpful.
Please find below a variety of different services available for you to use, as required. If you cannot find the right support service or you would like support in accessing them, please feel free to contact Mrs. Liddington who will be happy to help.
